God will call on the most unlikely people to lead. Even Saul, who was the chief persecutor of the believers at that time, was called upon to rise up and be a disciple of the Lord, and he was far from being good–he was downright evil. But when God has put His holy mark on you, you just follow, you just let it happen, and then reap the inevitable heavenly rewards.
Also, when God has chosen someone, and then that someone accepts the challenge and takes up his post, His anointing comes upon that person, and the Spirit is with him wherever he goes. Holy light shines through even the darkest of paths, and past sins melt away, forgiven by the grace of God. Even if this person tries to hide his light, or tries to avoid it; even though other people denies the presence of this light, if it is the true light of God it will shine through no matter what.
God calls upon us now to stand and serve as ministers in His church to cater to His people. He calls upon us to stand and fight as warriors in the spiritual battles that are constantly being waged in this present day. He calls upon us to be guides, shepherds, teachers, and healers. He calls. And it is up to us to see, and hear, and accept the challenge.
Prayer
Lord, take away the scales from eyes that I may see the vision You want me to see.
Take away the blocks from my ears that I may hear what You are calling me to be.
Take the veil wrapped around my heart, and like the curtain, tear it apart, that I may finally understand what it is to be free.
Let every breath from my lips be Your name, and every beat of my heart be the same.
Let Your Word be the joy and delight of my soul forever and ever.
