“In the space between asleep and awake”, remixed

I once wrote a poem that started with the line, “In the space between asleep and awake, in the place where I come to dream,” by which I meant that hazy time in the morning when you’re not-quite woken up yet and still clinging on to a half-remembered dream.  I say put Him in that moment as well, and wake up to a refreshing, uplifting, rejuvenating thought of GODliness when you wake up, starting to think about Him even before you’re fully conscious, indicating that even in the back burners of your mind, the part which you don’t actively control, Jesus is still the one doing the stirring, and making sure that there’s enough salt and pepper to make life delicious.
