A successful, spirit-filled team is one in which the leaders and followers are in full understanding of their Godly appointments, and of their responsibilities in the group.
A Godly leader follows God, and attracts and inspires loyalty in people. They are called to serve, and have been put in their place by God. Their ministry has God’s anointing, and they have been blessed with the gifts of the Spirit necessary for them to carry out their duties.
Faithful believers follow a Godly leader. They understand perfectly well that they should follow the leaders in so far as their commands are challenges are based on the edicts of the Bible. They also grasp the concept of not looking towards the leaders for their salvation, knowing full well that only Jesus can save, and that no one can get to the Father except through Him, there can be no other substitute. In following the leader, they are following God, and if they have any misunderstanding of this concept, then it should be corrected immediately.
A Godly leader attracts and inspires loyalty in people. True loyalty is being faithful in heart and actions, without betraying trust. It is a heart condition that stems from within, and involves putting the leader’s agenda above one’s own, and is manifested in one’s actions, and in the way that one carries out one’s duties. It is being inherently thoughtful, and naturally helpful, so as to provide full support to leaders above you.
