Everyday God’s Word brings something fresh and new 🙂
Today, these words brought delight to my heart:
I love the house where you live, O LORD,
Psalm 26:8
the place where your glory dwells.
That last line just slays me 🙂 It’s like a verbal hug. The place where God’s glory dwells — isn’t that just some place we all want to be? A glorious, majestic place of comfort, where all words are sweet and loving, and everyone smiles and laughs all the time.
It’s led me to write this:
I love the house where You live, Oh Lord,
can I build it in my heart as well?
I will make it the place where I love, my God,
the place where Your glory dwells
I will clear up my space so that you may reside,
and be with me all of my days
I will worship You here, rejoicing inside
and soundly proclaiming your praise!
