31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
Romans 8:31-34
What a thought. It’s true though. If we need any more proof, any more convincing, that God will grant us anything that we ask, it is the fact of Him letting His Son die on the cross for us. He would not have done us if He knew it was for a lost cause. He placed on us such value as to be worthy enough to receive this, His most precious gift.
And since this huge, all-knowing, all-powerful provider, benefactor, and supreme ruler of all is on our side, who can dare stand against us? He is the ultimate sponsor. The heaviest name to drop in all the name dropping contests there are in the whole world.
So when the devil stupidly tries to get you down, foils the plans that you have prayed over, tries to get around the guards and barricades that you have carefully set around your heart, or foolishly whispers words of sultry seduction or searing sedition in your ear, rebuke him with a righteousness that comes from God, renounce him with words that resound with conviction, that your God is the only God who can charge you, and that only His justice will prevail!
