My secondary computer that I use at the office suddenly decided to die. No specific reason. It decided that it had enough of the day, so it just died.
To get more technical about it, the monitor blinked once or twice, and without even giving me the blue screen of death, without even that courtesy, it blacked out and shut itself down. Powered off like it was already the end of the day. Like there was no more work to be done.
To be fair, it’s a very weak machine, by modern standards. It’s an old processor, with low memory, and an outdated version of Windows (XP).
But still. To just decide to stop working, just like that? Would that I have the same luxury! I could just say “forget this!”, throw any papers I have in my hands up in the air, and just up and go home.
