It has to be said

4 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. 5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. 6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said. 7 For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city.

Acts 8:4-8

The Word of God gets out by being shared. Someone has to open their mouth and say the words, share about God, and introduce Him to people who do not know Him.

This does not diminish the power of God. If it is His will, then He can make it a perfect world where everyone already knows His mind. He can put that knowledge in men’s minds with just one thought.

But it is our privilege that we get to share about God. It is to our advantage that we get to go through that experience. In sharing about God, using our own words, and drawing upon our own life testimonies, our wisdom grows by degrees. Our joy builds up with every encounter. We gather a wealth of experience that accumulates and increases. And in the process, we feel the empowerment as it happens. With every sharing, every time we obey that command to GO, every time we open our mouths and speak about God, we grow — closer to Him, in love with Him, in our faith in Him.
