In the space between asleep and awake

In the space between asleep and awake
In place where I come to dream
I can call you my own
My breath yours to take
With no one to come in between
In the place where I come to dream

In the space between asleep and awake
In the place where I come to dream
I can tear off an edge
Pull at the seams
And insert your face into the scene
In the place where I come to dream

In the space between asleep and awake
In the place where I come to dream
I can open my eyes
And still remain blind
My name left unsaid
   My face left unseen
In the place where I come to dream
In the place where you come to dream

  1. I open these as they are posts that come up as being “hacked” with bots submitting fake comments in the hopes of getting people to click on their illegitimate links. This has been one of the more visible ones, I don’t know why I haven’t commented on it for so long.

Anyway, this was written in the before-times. As in, 2006. As in way, way before. And about a completely different person. And by a completely different person, now that I come to think about it. I was certainly not the same person I am now.

I’ve since set this into a song that I will release soon. I used AI to make the melody, and I’m very excited about it. It doesn’t make the song let authentic I think. It just means I have no one to collaborate with on it.

Soon-ish I will post on here somehow.

But re the words — a trifle pretentious isn’t it? She was very dramatic, this one.

Still, very creative right? I liked where this is going.

I added a few more lines to make this into a complete song.

    Like I said, soon.
