My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14:2
The Living Room is usually in a centrally located space in a home, large and in front. It is carefully decorated, usually kept clean and ready to receive visitors.
But did you know that it used to be called the “Death Room”? Because it was the place in a house where mourners could gather when someone in the household died. It wasn’t until the 1900s when a women’s magazine proposed to change it.
If your heart were a room in the house of the Lord, is it prepared to receive visitors? Is it set up to love neighbors?
Or is it still a Death Room, always in mourning, a place for endless tears?
